BUET at a glance: Bangladesh
University of Engineering and Technology, also known as BUET, is a Public
Engineering University in Bangladesh. It is one of the oldest Engineering institutions
in the region.
Every year the intake of
undergraduate students is around 900, while the intake of graduate students in
Masters and PhD programs is around 1000 programs to study engineering,
architecture, planning and science in this institution. A total of about five
hundred teachers are teaching in these departments and institutes. The
University has continued to expand over the last three decades. This includes
the construction of new academic buildings, auditorium complex, halls of
residence. Till today, it has produced
around 25,000 graduates in different branches of engineering and architecture,
and has established a good reputation all over the world for the quality of its
graduates, many of whom have excelled in their profession in different parts of
the globe. The Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) were
able to attract students from countries like India, Nepal, Iran, Jordan,
Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Palestine.
