Rules for Foreign Nationals:

Rules regarding Admission of Foreign Nationals in Undergraduate Programs

Foreign nationals can be asked to submit the application before a date which should be about one month before the date of admission test for a specific academic session for admission into the undergraduate courses of the University. Subject to the fulfillment of other conditions candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C.) examination (after 12 years of schooling) or its equivalent or GCE A level examination are eligible to apply. However, the details of terms and conditions will be fixed by the respective admission committee.

Eligibility:

i)           Foreign nationals having completed their education in foreign countries shall be considered as 'Foreign Students'

ii)               Candidates who passed Higher Secondary examination (after 12 years of schooling) or GCE A level examination or its equivalent examination from a foreign education board with 'A' (70-79%) grades in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and minimum 'B' (50-59%) grade in English are eligible to apply.

Number of Seats:

Total number of seats for foreign students in undergraduate level in each academic session is 16 (sixteen). However, a maximum of 5 (five) students can be admitted from a single country but not exceeding 4 (four) in any Department.

Submission of Application:

Application must be submitted through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of The People's Republic of Bangladesh. All documents regarding educational qualifications and 4 (four) copies of recently taken color photographs of the candidate should be included with the application form. After receiving the application(s), the Admission Committee will select the eligible candidate(s). However the "Equivalence Committee" will determine the equivalence of educational qualifications if necessary. Candidates must mention the numerical conversion value of respective grades (if necessary) and they must also mention the date of passing of the final examination in conventional English style i.e. A.D.

Tuition fees and other expenses:

The tuition and other fees for the undergraduate study for foreign students except those from SAARC countries are US$ 1000 (one thousand) only per regular term. However, the students of SAARC countries need to pay US$ 500 (five hundred) in each regular term of each academic session as admission/entry fees and the tuition fees and other fees will be the same as that for the Bangladeshi students.
