	Access to Information Programme (A2I) is facilitating the government in providing information and services aimed at improving the social and economic welfare of its citizens. During the first phase A2I made notable progress in improving access to public services. A2I Phase-II has aimed to expand the breadth and width of such simplified services and improve the service delivery model to new heights, broader and with larger coverage. The objective of the project is to increase transparency, improve governance, and reduce the time, difficulty and costs of obtaining government services for under-served communities of Bangladesh. A2I Phase-II is going to recruit a Communication Expert who will support the capacity development activities of the project.

Summary of Key Functions
The Communication Expert will work closely with the Programme Advisor and Director (Capacity and Awareness) in forming an effective communication strategy and play an effective role in a dynamic Capacity and Awareness team on a highly visible project at the prime minister’s office.  Not only he/she will be in charge of building message and the content but also have to shape the narrative on a very prominent national campaign.  He/she  will be responsible for the following assignments: Develop a dynamic Communication Strategy of the project which is highly visible and prominent keeping in mind the national perception. Create awareness and sustaining public demand for e-Services among the mass people through social media Coordinate the implementation of Communication Strategy and campaign both in the traditional and social media. Coordinate various audio visual production for building awareness and create demand for e-services Function as an effective team member of the Capacity & Awareness component of the project. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as and when required assigned by project management
Recruitment Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Development Communications/Studies, Media Relations, Journalism & Mass Communication, English or any related field. Masters will be an added advantage. Experience: Overall 8 years experience, 5 years of which should be relevant Experience of working with advocacy, media and communication issues. Experience of making audio visual production and working in media house Experience of conducting training workshop for journalists Experience of arranging regional, national and international level communication/ awareness/ knowledge events Experience of working with ICT4D issues and social media will be highly preferred. Language Requirements: Fluency in written and spoken English and Bengali.
